Crochet Reversible Valentine’s Heart Pillow

Who doesn’t love a cute throw pillow?  Am I the only one that rotates them out like disposable goods?  They change the mood of my room immediately per season, of course!  I whipped up this valentine’s heart pillow and it couldn’t be any simpler!!  A good netflix movie and you can make a decent dent in this… or afternoon coffee with a friend!

I’m thrilled to share this FREE pattern with you!  Don’t forget to share your version and tag me on Facebook MB Stitches and on Instagram MB_Stitches!!

Materials:

Abbreviations:

  • ch – chain
  • sc – single crochet

Cross stitch pattern

Front and Back

Ch 51

Row 2-56:  ch 1. 50 sc across. Turn.

Sc around all sides.  Sc, ch1, sc in each corner.  Do this twice in Red and Cream.  You should now have 2 solid square like pillow cases.

For the the next step, you will follow my arrow cross stitch pattern and find the middle of the piece.  Do not count the sc around the case and count up 24 rows from the bottom.  From the left count over 5 st and begin the first x of the arrow on the 6th st of the 25th row. This is the bottom of the arrow ‘feathers.’

After following the cross stitch on both sides of the pillow you will join both sides and sc all the way around, joining both sides of the pillowcase by using BOTH colors together.  Stuff with pillow once you get the third side and stitch closed.  You are welcome to leave an open side and add ribbon closures for washing as well.  Red or white ribbon would look great!  The finished pillow is 19″ x 19″.

A perfect comfy pillow to cuddle up with!
