I love a cute winter hat and these fur pom pom hats are my new favorite! I’m so happy to share this pattern with you! Vanna’s choice yarn is perfect for this pattern and she has soooo many lovely colors in her line, you could make this hat over and over in a million colors! I might just do that. 🙂
I’m thrilled to share this FREE pattern with you! Don’t forget to share your version and tag me on Facebook MB Stitches and on Instagram MB_Stitches!!
This hat fits a 24″ head around. The hat laying flat measures 8.5″ on the band. This fits my adult head.

I love this hat so much and how stretchy it is that I had to make one for my son too! All I did for his hat was make the band smaller. Instead of doing 52 rows for adult hat, I did 46 rows. You can chose any multiple of 2 for the band and then modify the hat accordingly as move on to the row portion of the hat. Because you are just skipping one stitch after the band row, you can make this hat any size in multiples of 2! For his hat I used Big Twist Premium in Navy.

Good evening! I've been working on the hat, but am a little confused. I completed the first row of cluster stitches. 2nd row instructs me to cluster stitch in chain space. Row one did not indicate chaining. Please clarify. How many chains should be created between clusters? Thank you!
